Roy Pinney was raised along the shores of Long Island Sound in Westchester County, New York. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas, financing his education by leading and playing bass in a rock band with several regional hit records. A competitive swimmer through high school and college, he excelled in the 100 meter butterfly and continues to swim regularly. Roy’s passions include Italian culture, music, investing, exotic cars, and animal welfare. His travels have taken him across the Caribbean and Central America, from Canada to Hawaii, throughout Europe to Turkey and Afghanistan, and down the Americas from Alaska to Argentina. Florida has been Roy's home since 1983.
